WP 4 - Specification and Architecture

by Bernd Roessler last modified 25.05.2009 16:47

In WP4, complete specifications will be defined for the individual modules making up the Intersafe-2 systems across all of the demonstrators and their architectures.

Major work steps are:

Task 4.1. Scenarios & Applications

Based on the requirements developed in WP 3 (Deliverable D3.1) identify which of the safety functions and therefore requirements will be met by each of the demonstrators.

  • Matrix mapping safety functions to demonstrators
  • General high-level specifications
Task 4.2 System Architecture

Based on the original Intersafe project architecture with modifications for the requirements of the new Intersafe-2 safety functions, a generic architecture for use across all demonstrators will be developed.

  • Identify the key interfaces between demonstrators
  • Specify the communications interface between demonstrators
Task 4.3 Demonstrator level specification and architecture

Develop the specification and architecture for each of the demonstrators including:

  • Identification of appropriate sub-systems
  • Interfaces between sub-systems
Task 4.4 Sub-system level specification

Develop specifications for each of the sub-systems for each of the development platforms. Subsystems will potentially include:

  • Sensing
  •  HMI and Actuation
  • Control/data fusion
  • Communications

The specifications developed within this workpackage and reported in deliverable D4.1 – “Specification and Architecture documentation” will then be implemented in the individual demonstrator sub-systems in subsequent workpackages.
