WP 7 - Implementation and Demonstrators

by Bernd Roessler last modified 04.09.2009 13:41

According to the specifications and the proposed architecture of the Intersection Safety Systems (WP 4) and the state of the key technologies (WP 5) the specific hardware and the developed safety functions (WP 6) will be integrated into the demonstrator vehicles and the infrastructure.

Major steps in WP7 are:

Task 7.1 Adaptation of sensors and communication modules
Task 7.2 Vehicle Integration
Task 7.3 Infrastructure Integration
Task 7.4 Preliminary System Tests

Assistance functions will be developed and demonstrator vehicles for each assistance function will be available when terminating this WP. Those vehicles are able to share information (V2X) and are ready to show cooperative safety within other V2X projects. Testing and evaluation (WP 8) can thus be performed on separate test track or in a test area.

Demonstrator vehicles will be available from alle three OEMs in this project:

 BMW

 VTEC
